How to Check a Russian Visa Invitation
Use this 7-point checklist to review a Russian tourist invitation, check the tour operator in the official register, and correct errors before filing.

To receive a tourist invitation to Russia, please indicate your citizenship. You will be provided with a registration form. Fill in all the fields carefully, then proceed to the next step to confirm and pay for your invitation.
There is no universal government PDF checker

The 7-point invitation checklist
Compare the invitation with the passport, visa application and inviting-organization record before paying a consular fee or mailing a passport.
Passport identity
Surname, given names, date of birth, citizenship and passport number must match the passport.
Travel dates
Entry and exit dates should cover the period used in the visa application.
Purpose and entries
Confirm the purpose is tourism, the number of entries is correct and the itinerary is consistent.
Confirmation number
The document should show the tourist reception confirmation number.
Operator reference
Find the MBT/PTO reference number and check the operator in the official federal register.
Inviting organization
Compare the organization name and address with the issuer and registry information.
Document execution
Review the issue date, authorized signature and stamp where required by the document format.
How to check the tour operator
Find the inviting organization and its MBT/PTO reference number on the document. Open the Russian Ministry of Economic Development’s Unified Federal Register of Tour Operators and search by the reference number or organization name.
Compare the legal name and identifying details. A match confirms the operator’s registry record; it does not replace the personal-data checks and is not a consular visa decision.
If the document was issued through iVisaOnline
Use the verification identifier printed on the document. This confirms that the record exists in the iVisaOnline issuing system. It is not a government check and it does not guarantee visa issuance.

Can I verify a Russian visa invitation in a government database?
You can check whether the inviting tour operator appears in the official Unified Federal Register of Tour Operators. That registry verifies the operator record; it does not authenticate every individual PDF or guarantee visa issuance.
What details should a Russian tourist invitation contain?
Official consular guidance lists passport details, travel dates, confirmation number, tour-operator reference number, inviting organization name and address, plus the authorized signature and stamp among the core fields.
What if the invitation does not match my passport?
Do not file it unchanged. Ask the issuer to correct the name, passport number, nationality, dates or other inconsistent fields before submitting the visa application.
What does the iVisaOnline validation page check?
It checks an invitation issued through the iVisaOnline system. It is not a Russian government or consular checker and cannot predict whether a visa application will be approved.
