Apostille

An apostille is a special stamp certifying the authenticity of a signature, seal, and position of the person who signed a document, for use abroad. In the context of Russian visas, an apostille may be required to legalize documents (e.g., marriage certificate for a private invitation). Russia is a party to the 1961 Hague Convention.
