Compare name, passport number, citizenship, dates, entries, purpose and itinerary. If the invitation is wrong, contact the original issuer and wait for the corrected document before submitting the application.

Issued-visa checks before departure
The Canberra Embassy tells travellers to check passport number, date of birth and visa validity after receiving the visa and return it for correction if necessary. Also check the name, entries and purpose against the passport and trip.
Allow enough time to contact the mission. Do not assume that an issued visa error can be fixed at the airport or by the invitation provider.
