What can slow the invitation down — and how to avoid it

For tourist invitations, delays are almost always caused by errors in the submitted data rather than by the issuing process. The three most common issues for UK applicants are: a passport number typed with letters and digits transposed, a passport that expires less than six months after the planned departure date from Russia, and travel dates that do not match the dates later entered in the visa application form.
