Russian E-Visa or Regular Visa for Filipino Citizens?
Philippine passport holders are eligible for Russia's unified e-visa because eligibility follows citizenship, not residence. It is single entry, needs no invitation, and for applications submitted from 23 August 2025 is valid for 120 days with a permitted stay of up to 30 days. The current two-route decision
The central MFA list includes the Philippines, and the Russian Embassy in Manila published the updated e-visa validity and stay rules in August 2025. Eligibility follows the passport holder's citizenship, not the country of residence. Older third-party pages saying Filipinos are ineligible are stale.
The e-visa is applied for online through the official MFA portal and does not use a tourist invitation. A regular tourist visa is a separate consular route using the printed application, passport, photo, voucher and confirmation listed by the Embassy.

When the e-visa fits
The e-visa is usually the direct route for a qualifying short, single-entry tourist trip. The central MFA portal says an application may be submitted no earlier than 86 days and no later than 4 days before expected entry, and that processing takes no more than four calendar days after a complete application is submitted. Recheck the portal's passport, insurance and border-point rules before applying.
Do not buy a tourist invitation for an e-visa application. The two routes use different supporting-document systems.

When to examine the regular route
Examine the regular route when the trip needs a different entry pattern, category or duration, or when the traveller deliberately chooses consular filing. E-visa eligibility does not prohibit a Filipino citizen from applying for a regular tourist visa. The Embassy requires both tourist confirmation and voucher for that application, and the dates should match the form.
The Embassy, not the invitation issuer, decides the visa. Check current appointment, fee and processing information before making travel commitments.
