Tourist Visa Invitation to Russia for Malaysia Citizens
For a regular tourist visa to Russia, Malaysian citizens use a tourist invitation as a supporting document. We issue the voucher and confirmation online and send the PDF by email. Check the current filing rules for Kuala Lumpur before submission.
Check the unified eVisa route first
Malaysia citizens are on the current eVisa list. Check whether the eVisa covers tourism, duration and entry needs. An invitation is not required for the eVisa.

Use the ordinary tourist-visa route only after checking the responsible filing office. The Russian Embassy in Malaysia lists the electronic application, passport, photo, travel medical insurance and the applicable tourist confirmation or hotel document among the items to review.

What is a Tourist Invitation?
A tourist invitation combines a tourist voucher and confirmation issued by a Russian tour operator for a regular tourist-visa application. It supports the application but is not the visa and does not guarantee the consular decision.
The document includes:
- Tourist Voucher
- Confirmation of Reception
- Host organization details
- Travel itinerary
- Tour-operator details and register reference
